Pedunculated Fibroids
Pedunculated fibroids are benign- noncancerous, growths in the uterus. These fibroids are attached to the uterine wall by a stalk-like growth called a peduncle.Pedunculated fibroids may cause sudden & severe pain. These fibroids can grow on the inner and outer wall of the womb. They are connected to the womb by a thin, stem-like structure. Abrupt movements can cause this fibroids to rotate on these stems and interrupts the blood flow to the fibroid, which can be extremely painful at sometimes.
